Rose Ambassador (Meilland 1995) Etymology

There are at least three rose varieties named ‘Ambassador’, two of them having been hybridised by Meilland (France): the first in 1979 with the registration name MEInuzeten and 1995 (this one) with the registration name MEIbigoud. An earlier ‘Ambassador’ was bred by Hjermind & Weiss (Germany) in 1930. According to HelpMeFind entries for ‘Ambassador’ roses, all three varieties are commercially available.
