Rose 'Ambridge Rose'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Ambridge Rose is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Ensure your soil is loamy and has a ph of between 5.5 and 7.0 as Rose is a weakly acidic soil to neutral soil loving plant.

Hybrid. Will not reliably grow true to type from seed.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Ambridge Rose is a hardy plant.

It was named after an English radio program called ‘The Archers’ which was about the fictional farming community of Ambridge. At the request of the BBC, an episode was written into the program wherein one of the characters went to see the rose at the Chelsea Flower Show and talked to the breeder. ²
