Keep in mind when planting that Burcombe is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. A soil ph of between 6.5 and 7.8 is ideal for Burcombe as it does best in weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil.

As Burcombe is hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
