How to grow Ceanothus 'Concha'

compost, mulch, summer water. May need monthly supplemental water during first season if weather is dry. Prefers soil which is low in organic matter—likes heavy clay, also grows well in silty or sandy soils.

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water very sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Concha is thought of as hardy, so Concha will tend to go dormant or grow slowly over the winter months.

Plant in location with excellent drainage, and water regularly after allowing soil to dry to several inches between waterings during its first season. After that it will get through hot dry summers with no supplemental water.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Concha is a hardy plant.
