Kent Beauty is part of the Origanum genus and is a Ornamental oregano variety. Its scientific name is Origanum rotundifolium 'Kent Beauty'. Kent Beauty is a hybrid (open pollinated) variety. This variety typically blooms in the following colours:   Pink. When mature, blooms are roughly 1.0 cm (that's 0.39 inches in imperial) in diameter.The leaves of this particular variety normally show as   Light green colour.

Hybrid of Oregano rotundifolium and Oregano scabrum that is grown as a deciduous ornamental in dry sunny places. Looks good trailing over a wall or in a rockery. It has beautiful heart shaped grey green leaves and the flowers are encased in showy pink bracts. Very attractive to bees. Not a culinary oregano. Tough plant despite its delicate looks.

Does not handle swampy, humidity-filled summers well.
