How to grow Parsnip 'Envy'

  • Partial Sun

  • Medium

Envy likes a position of partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Envy is thought of as half hardy, so it will need cloching or fleece protection when the temperature dips. Ensure your soil is loamy and has a ph of between 6.0 and 6.5 as Parsnip is a weakly acidic soil loving plant.

Growing Envy from seed

Look to ensure a distance 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) deep. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 16°C / 61°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Envy about 15 days after your last frost date.

Transplanting Envy

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Envy is a half hardy plant.
