How to grow Sweet pepper 'Ariane'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Ariane is thought of as tender, so it is really important to ensure that the outside temperature is well above freezing before planting or moving outdoors. Ariane needs a potting mix, loamy and silty soil with a ph of 5.5 to 7.5 (weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil).

Growing Ariane from seed

Look to ensure a distance 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 0.25 inches (0.64 cm) deep. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 20°C / 68°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Ariane about 60 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Ariane

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Ariane is a tender plant.
