How to grow Sweet pepper 'Red mercury'
Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Red mercury is thought of as tender, so remember to ensure that temperatures are mild before moving outdoors. Ideally plant in potting mix, loamy and silty soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 5.5 and 7.5 as Red mercury likes to be in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.
Growing Red mercury from seed
Aim to sow 0.25 inches (0.64 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 0.98 inches (2.5 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 20°C / 68°F to ensure good germination.
Transplanting Red mercury
Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Red mercury is a tender plant.
