Position in a partial sun location and remember to water moderately. Winter is generally regarded as a tender plant, so remember to ensure that temperatures are mild before moving outdoors. Winter needs a soil ph of 6.1 to 7.5 (weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil).

Aim to sow 1.17 inches (3.0 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 2.28 feet (70.0 cm). For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 15°C / 59°F.
