How to grow Pea 'Misty'

  • Partial Sun

  • Very High

Plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water very often. Keep in mind when planting that Misty is thought of as half hardy, so although it can survive a small mild cold snap, it is wise to ensure that this plant is protected from frost damage. Ideally plant in loamy soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 5.5 and 6.5 as Misty likes to be in weakly acidic soil.

Growing Misty from seed

Sow 0.99 inches (2.54 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 2.97 inches (7.62 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 4°C / 39°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Misty about 35 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Misty

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Misty is a half hardy plant.
