How to grow Rosemary 'Alderney'

  • Full Sun

  • Low

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Alderney is thought of as hardy, so it can be safe to leave outdoors for the majority of winter (although if in doubt, using a row cover is often a good idea).

Growing Alderney from seed

Aim to sow 0.23 inches (0.6 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 0.98 inches (2.5 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 16°C / 61°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Alderney

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Alderney is a hardy plant.
