Iberis umbellata

Candytuft is a plant which belongs to the Iberis genus. The origin of this plant's scientific name epithet (umbellata) means 'with umbels'.Blooms appear in these approximate colours:   Ghost white. The mature flowers are of a clustered form. Leaves appear approximately as a   Office green colour. It is a flower and is treated mainly as an annual/perennial, so it can grow either as a single season or multiple season plant. Normally grows with a ground covering habit. Popular varieties of Candytuft with home gardeners are Dwarf Fairy Mix, Alexander's White, Giant White Hyacinth, White snow, and Flash.

As Candytuft is a low maintanence plant, it is great for beginner gardeners and those that like gardens that don't need much overseeing.
