Winter squash 'Golden nugget'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Golden nugget is thought of as tender, so remember to ensure that temperatures are mild before moving outdoors. A soil ph of between 6.1 and 7.5 is ideal for Golden nugget as it does best in weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil.

Aim to sow 1.17 inches (3.0 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 2.28 feet (70.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 21°C / 70°F to ensure good germination.

As Golden nugget is tender, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.

Excellent flavor really is very sweet, preferable to Delicata. Delicata is actually partly descended from this squash.
