Carpathian bellflower 'Suzie'

Campanula carpatica

How to grow Carpathian bellflower 'Suzie'

  • Partial Sun

  • Low

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Suzie is thought of as hardy, so it can be safe to leave outdoors for the majority of winter (although if in doubt, using a row cover is often a good idea). A soil ph of between 6.1 and 8.5 is ideal for Suzie as it does best in weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Suzie from seed

Soil temperature should be kept higher than 18°C / 64°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Suzie about 56 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Suzie

As Suzie is hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
