Support is essential in growing grape vines. A fence is an ideal support for these vines, and a trellis or arbor are also good. These vines also require pruning yearly when plants are dormant in March or April.
Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Madeira Frontignan is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures.
