How to grow Shasta Daisy 'Andernach'

  • Full Sun

  • Low

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Andernach is thought of as hardy, so it can be safe to leave outdoors for the majority of winter (although if in doubt, using a row cover is often a good idea). Ideally plant in loamy and potting mix soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 6.0 and 8.0 as Andernach likes to be in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Andernach from seed

Aim to sow 0.06 inches (0.15 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 0.98 inches (2.5 cm).

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Andernach about 49 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Andernach

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Andernach is a hardy plant.
