How to grow Garden Cosmos 'White'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that White is thought of as half hardy, so it will need cloching or fleece protection when the temperature dips. White tends to grow best in a soil ph of between 6.0 and 8.5 meaning it does best in weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil.

Growing White from seed

Look to ensure a distance 5.85 inches (15.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 0.0 inches (0.0 cm) deep. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 20°C / 68°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing White about 28 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting White

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as White is a half hardy plant.
