Try to plant in a location that enjoys dappled sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Beni-kujaku is thought of as hardy, so Beni-kujaku will tend to go dormant or grow slowly over the winter months. Beni-kujaku requires a loamy, clay and silty soil with a ph of 6.0 - 7.5 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Beni-kujaku is a hardy plant.
