Leek 'Carentan 2'

Position in a partial sun location and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Carentan 2 is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions.

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 0.39 inches (1.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.78 inches (2.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 16°C / 61°F to ensure good germination.

Mke hole with dibber 6 in/15cm deep and place plant into each hole then fill with water. DO NOT FILL HOLE WITH SOIL

As Carentan 2 is very hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.

This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by mid winter.
