Lavandula angustifolia

How to grow Lavender 'Middachten'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Middachten is generally regarded as a hardy plant, so it can be safe to leave outdoors for the majority of winter (although if in doubt, using a row cover is often a good idea). Middachten needs a sandy, loamy and silty soil with a ph of 6.1 to 8.5 (weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil).

Growing Middachten from seed

Aim to sow 0.23 inches (0.6 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 1.95 inches (5.0 cm). For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 15°C / 59°F.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Middachten about 1 days after your last frost date.

Transplanting Middachten

Middachten is hardy, so ensure you wait until all danger of frost has passed in your area before considering planting outside.
