How to grow Sweet corn 'Ambrosia'

  • Full Sun

  • High

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water often. Ambrosia is generally regarded as a tender plant, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. Ambrosia needs a loamy and clay soil with a ph of 6.5 to 7.5 (weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil).

Growing Ambrosia from seed

Sow 1.98 inches (5.08 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 5.94 inches (15.24 cm). For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 21°C / 70°F.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Ambrosia about 14 days after your last frost date.

Transplanting Ambrosia

Ambrosia is tender, so ensure you wait until all danger of frost has passed in your area before considering planting outside.
