Keep in mind when planting that ali-baba is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. A soil ph of between 5.8 and 6.5 is ideal for ali-baba as it does best in weakly acidic soil.

As ali-baba is hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
