How to grow Broccoli 'Patron'

  • Partial Sun

  • Medium

Patron likes a position of partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Patron is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. Patron needs a loamy and sandy soil with a ph of 6.2 to 7.2 (weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil).

Growing Patron from seed

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 5.85 inches (15.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.51 inches (1.3 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 10°C / 50°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Patron about 42 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Patron

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Patron is a tender plant.
