Harvest main head at its peak size and before flowers open. Harvest side shoots at 2-3 inches. Store seeds in cool, dry, dark conditions. 1

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Early Green is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Planting Early Green in loamy and sandy soil with a ph of between 6.2 and 7.2 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Sow 0.51 inches (1.3 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 5.85 inches (15.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 10°C / 50°F to ensure good germination.
