Bunching onion 'Winter White'

Harvest the bunches when they reach spring onion size.

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Winter White is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Winter White needs a loamy and sandy soil with a ph of 6.0 to 7.0 (weakly acidic soil to neutral soil).

Ensure a distance of 3.9 inches (10.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - look to sow at a depth of approximately 0.23 inches (0.6 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 13°C / 55°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Winter White about 28 days before your last frost date.

If module planted – transplant one module (should be 4 – 5 baby plants) every 10 cm or so.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Winter White is a hardy plant.
