How to grow Lemon thyme 'Lime'
Keep in mind when planting that Lime is thought of as hardy, so Lime will tend to go dormant or grow slowly over the winter months. Lime needs a chalky and sandy soil with a ph of 6.6 to 8.5 (weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil).
Growing Lime from seed
Look to ensure a distance 9.75 inches (25.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 0.2 inches (0.5 cm) deep. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 21°C / 70°F to ensure good germination.
Transplanting Lime
Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Lime is a hardy plant.
Harvesting Lime
This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by mid summer.
