How to grow Lavandin 'Edelweiss'

  • Partial Sun

  • Low

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Edelweiss is thought of as hardy, so Edelweiss will tend to go dormant or grow slowly over the winter months. Edelweiss tends to grow best in a soil ph of between 6.0 and 7.0 meaning it does best in weakly acidic soil - neutral soil.

Growing Edelweiss from seed

Look to ensure a distance 1.95 inches (5.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 0.23 inches (0.6 cm) deep. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 15°C / 59°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Edelweiss

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Edelweiss is a hardy plant.
