How to grow Coleus 'Giant Exhibition Palisandra'

Can be planted out into borders or pots and displays taking advantage of the colourful foliage and they will last all summer until the frost. Alternatively, coleus is grown as a house plant.
It can also be grown from cuttings, taken just below a leaf node

Try to plant in a location that enjoys dappled sun and remember to water moderately. Giant Exhibition Palisandra is generally regarded as a tender plant, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside.

Growing Giant Exhibition Palisandra from seed

These seed need light to germinate and must only be very lightly covered. Keep damp, cover with a plastic bag, but avoid becoming too wet. Pot on into individual pots as soon as the seedlings are large enough to handle at the two leaf stage.

For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 20°C / 68°F.
