Keep in mind when planting that Orion is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. Ensure your soil has a ph of between 5.8 and 6.2 as Orion is a weakly acidic soil loving plant.

Soil temperature should be kept higher than 21°C / 70°F to ensure good germination.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Orion is a tender plant.
