Aji Brown is a variety of Chinese pepper which is a member of the Capsicum family. Its botanical name is Capsicum chinense 'Aji Brown'. Aji Brown is a (open pollinated) variety. Its fruits normally ripen as a colour very similar to   Brown.

Approx 1500 SHU. Ripen from green to chocolate brown. Aromatic.

Peru is believed to be where Aji Brown originates from.

Aji Brown Chinese pepper is normally fairly low maintenance and quite easy to grow, as long as a level of basic care is provided throughout the year. Being aware of the basic soil, sun and water preferences will result in a happier and healthier plant.
