How to grow Sweet pepper 'Ivory'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Ivory is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. Ideally plant in potting mix, loamy and silty soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 5.5 and 7.5 as Ivory likes to be in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Ivory from seed

Sow 0.25 inches (0.64 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 0.98 inches (2.5 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 20°C / 68°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Ivory about 60 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Ivory

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Ivory is a tender plant.
