How to grow Sweet pepper 'Fushimi'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Fushimi is generally regarded as a tender plant, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. Fushimi needs a potting mix, loamy and silty soil with a ph of 5.5 to 7.5 (weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil).

Growing Fushimi from seed

Sow 0.25 inches (0.64 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 0.98 inches (2.5 cm). For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 20°C / 68°F.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Fushimi about 60 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Fushimi

Fushimi is tender, so ensure you wait until all danger of frost has passed in your area before considering planting outside.
