How to grow Daffodil 'Toto'

Remove the old flower heads and developing seed pods to prevent the plant wasting energy.
Allow leaves to die back naturally in the spring to feed the bulb for next year’s flowers

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Toto is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures.

Growing Toto from seed

Not usually grown from seed, it is easier to divide established clumps or search for bulb offsets after flowering

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 3.9 inches (10.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 5.85 inches (15.0 cm).

Transplanting Toto

Plant in the autumn
Plant 15 cm deep in groups of at least 3. Full sun or partial shade.
Useful in pots and containers, under hedges, or along paths.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Toto is a hardy plant.

Harvesting Toto

Useful cut flower, pick while still in bud and they open in the vase

This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by early spring.
