How to grow Chard 'Oriole'

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Oriole is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will typically do well in a variety of different extremes of cold temperature. Ideally plant in loamy and clay soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 6.1 and 7.5 as Oriole likes to be in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Oriole from seed

Sow at a depth of approx. 0.39 inches (1.0 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 0.39 inches (1.0 cm) between Chard plants. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 10°C / 50°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Oriole

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Oriole is a very hardy plant.
