Canary Yellow likes a position of full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Canary Yellow is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will typically do well in a variety of different extremes of cold temperature. Planting Canary Yellow in loamy and clay soil with a ph of between 6.1 and 7.5 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Canary Yellow from seed

Sow at a depth of approx. 0.39 inches (1.0 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 0.39 inches (1.0 cm) between Chard plants. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 10°C / 50°F to ensure good germination.
