How to grow Chard 'Flamingo'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Flamingo is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions. Flamingo requires a loamy and clay soil with a ph of 6.1 - 7.5 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Flamingo from seed

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 0.39 inches (1.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.39 inches (1.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 10°C / 50°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Flamingo

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Flamingo is a very hardy plant.
