Keep in mind when planting that Carmona is thought of as tender, so remember to ensure that temperatures are mild before moving outdoors. Planting Carmona in loamy soil with a ph of between 5.8 and 6.8 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil.

Growing Carmona from seed

Aim to sow 0.27 inches (0.7 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 7.8 inches (20.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 5°C / 41°F to ensure good germination.

As Carmona is tender, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.

Red-tipped butterhead (bibb/boston) lettuce, OP heirloom.
Originally from Canada, this heirloom variety was on the verge of extinction until rescued by Joelene of GTF (Gathering Together Farm, in Oregon.)
Joelene grew it out, then donated seed to Wild Garden Seeds. Wild Garden then donated seed to Seeds of Change.
