Sweet Potato 'Violetta'

Keep in mind when planting that Violetta is thought of as tender, so it is really important to plant out well after your last frost date. Ideally plant in loamy, sandy and silty soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 6.1 and 7.8 as Violetta likes to be in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Will not come true from seed – sterile.

Sow at a depth of approx. 3.9 inches (10.0 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 1.46 feet (45.0 cm) between Sweet Potato plants.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Violetta about 20 days after your last frost date.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Violetta is a tender plant.
