They like water but not flooding. If you are at all prone to flooding or ponding of water after rain they are best planted on a slope. You need soil with good water retention but at the same time must be sure you do not flood/over saturate them.
You need at least two of these for pollination as well or you will not get any fruit.
These trees only get about 6 to 7 feet and pruduce bunches of bananas roughly 90 to a bunch
They do hold up in the wind and can be used as windbreaks. Intense winds however will cause leaf shredding. There best growing is above 65 degrees and will even stop growing at around 50 degrees but they will tolerate a light freeze.
This variety can even be container grown.

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water often.
