Dwarf fothergilla 'Mount Airy'

Tolerates a wide variety of growing conditions. Water every two weeks in cool weather or weekly in hot weather during its first year to establish. Once established monthly water will suffice.

A partial sun position will ensure your plant thrives and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Mount Airy is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions. Ensure your soil has a ph of between 5.5 and 7.0 as Mount Airy is a weakly acidic soil - neutral soil loving plant.

A partly sunny to sunny location, and well drained, humusy, slightly acidic soil is best.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Mount Airy is a very hardy plant.
