How to grow Banana plant 'Musa'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Bananas are propagated by off sets from the mother plant. After the mother plant dies, usually there are a few off sets and, ideally, they should be divided and grown separately in order to get a better bunch of bananas. The plant needs about nine months from start to bearing fruit and taking it to maturity. These nine months should be of warm weather and the plants have to be protected from wind.

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately.
