How to grow Dwarf Nasturtium 'Dwarf Jewel'

Enjoys a partial sun position in your garden and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Dwarf Jewel is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Dwarf Jewel tends to grow best in a soil ph of between 6.1 and 7.8 meaning it does best in weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Dwarf Jewel from seed

If you soak the seeds in a glass of water overnight, before sowing them, they germinate a lot better!

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 7.8 inches (20.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.5 inches (1.27 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 15°C / 59°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Dwarf Jewel

As the seedlings develop, thin to achieve a final spacing of 25cm.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Dwarf Jewel is a hardy plant.
