Deodar Cedar is a member of the Cedrus family. Its botanical name is Cedrus deodara.

Straight trunk and round crown. The leader droops,as does the newest growth, that is often soft and feather like. Sometimes the main trunk is forked and the lower branches form flat plates; as in Cedar of Lebanon

Its fruits normally ripen as a colour very similar to   Otter brown and   Dark green. Leaves usually appear in   Dark spring green and   Forest green (traditional)

A type of non-edible conifer, it mainly grows as an evergreen plant - which means it retains leaves throughout the year.

Normally growing to a mature height of 5.00 metres (16.25 feet), Deodar Cedar grows with a tree habit.

Nepal is believed to be where Deodar Cedar originates from.

Deodar Cedar is normally quite a low maintenance plant and is normally very easy to grow - great for beginner gardeners!
