Growing Special Mix from seed

Sow direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed free soil where the plants are to flower at a depth of 6mm, raking the seed in slightly. Germination will take around 14 – 21 days. Can also be sown in Autumn in a seedbed and transferred to flowering positions the following spring.

Just press the seeds into the surface of the soil, sprinkle a small amount of sand or vermiculite over them, and spritz to moisten.

Transplanting Special Mix

Thin seedlings as necessary allowing approx. 30 – 38cm between plants and removing any competing weeds.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Special Mix is a hardy plant.
