Dandelion 'Verte de Montmagny'

Verte de Montmagny likes a position of dappled sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Verte de Montmagny is thought of as tender, so it is really important to plant out well after your last frost date.

Sow at a depth of approx. 0.51 inches (1.3 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 7.8 inches (20.0 cm) between Dandelion plants.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Verte de Montmagny is a tender plant.

A few days before harvest blanch leaves by covering them. This will make them taste less bitter. Also, harvest leaves when young.¹

The whole plant can be harvested when budding or a few leaves can be harvested at a time.¹

Do not harvest dandelions that have been growing near a road and have been treated with pesticides or other chemicals.¹
