How to grow Hollyhock 'Appleblossom'

Hollyhock flowers in its second summer and then it is best pulled out because although it can flower in subsequent years the flowers are noy as good and the plant is prone to rust.

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Appleblossom is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions.

Growing Appleblossom from seed

Start seeds in mid summer in pots or modules using ordinary potting compost. Pot on when seedlings are large enough to handle into individual pots.
