How to grow Hosta 'Elegans'

Elegans is a hosta with large blue-gray round quilted leaves. Mound can be larger than 30 × 40″. A classic hosta. Seeds are viable. Genenerally a shade plant, Elegans will tolerate up to 1/2 day of sun in the North, much less in the South where it should be protected from afternoon sun.

Plant in a location that enjoys dappled sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Elegans is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures.
