One of the earliest to bloom each year. Remove the seed heads to conserve the plants energy

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Starlight is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Ideally plant in loamy and potting mix soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 6.1 and 7.8 as Starlight likes to be in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Starlight from seed

Can be grown from seed, select the blue-black ones from the pods and sow in the summer under protection for germination the following spring

Soil temperature should be kept higher than 10°C / 50°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Starlight

This variety enjoys full sun or part shade with rich well drained soil. Water well as the plant establishes in the first year. May require support

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Starlight is a hardy plant.
