Garlic 'German Red'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that German Red is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions. Planting German Red in loamy soil with a ph of between 6.0 and 7.0 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil to neutral soil.

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 3.9 inches (10.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.98 inches (2.5 cm).

As German Red is very hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
