Susceptible to blackspot in damp climates. ‘Kolner Karneval’ is vigorous and repeats well, but is at its best when grown in cool weather. It responds well to feeding and watering. 1

Plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Blue Girl is thought of as hardy, so Blue Girl will tend to go dormant or grow slowly over the winter months. Blue Girl requires a loamy soil with a ph of 4.5 - 8.0 - it grows best in moderately acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.
